Gran Vals Orquestal
"I love you, I love you, I love you, with the armchair and the dead book, down the melancholy corridor, in the dark attic of the lily, in our moon-bed and in the dance that the turtle dreams. Ay, ay, ay, ay!
Take this waltz of a broken waist.
Quote from "Poet in New York" by Federico García Lorca.

This piece, inspired by the nineteenth century, exudes reminiscences of the great waltzes of the Strauss family, which the Vienna Philharmonic still performs today at the New Year’s Concert. Thus emerges this Grand Symphonic Waltz — a sad waltz that is at times heroic and at others more light and fleeting, yet overall conveys a certain melancholic sorrow. The poet’s words resonate in our minds when we listen to this waltz.
The work is conceived for full orchestra and endowed with a broad symphonic character that makes it monumental.
